Hawaiian Chicken Burgers

These ground chicken burgers can be whipped up FAST! They have five super simple ingredients and are Whole30-approved! My biggest piece of advice with these are to make sure you spray your grill to avoid sticking. Pan-frying them in a skillet also works well. Freezing them for a bit after you form them also really helps. Additionally, I typically would swap the canned pineapple for fresh; however, the canned works well here because the fresh pineapple breaks down the burgers, causing them to crumble while cooking. Hope you enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. ground chicken
1/2 c. pineapple tidbits (canned), drained
2 tbsp. coconut aminos (found at Trader Joe's or on Amazon)
5 green onions, diced
3 tbsp. almond flour
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and form into 5 medium-sized burgers. (Doing this with wet hands helps prevent sticking!)
Freeze the burgers for 15-20 minutes on a plate lined with parchment paper.
While the burgers are freezing, preheat the grill (or pan) to medium-high heat.
Oil the grates of your grill (or pan) well before placing the burgers down.
Grill or pan fry the burgers for about 5 minutes per side.
